About Sommelier Michelle Gueydan

Native to New Orleans, Michelle graduated from Dominican High School N and Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY.  Her first career stints were in Politics, Executive Scheduling and Event Management. She traveled internationally with former employers, real estate mogul Joseph Robert and musical composer Quincy Jones.  Her wine and food experiences abroad played an integral role in decision to embrace her cultural side, and she completed Sommelier certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers, The Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and The Sake Professional. Wine Career highlights include: Sommelier, The Inn at Little Washington; Wine Director, Besh Restaurant Group; Winemaker’s Assistant, Arista Winery, Sonoma; Virginia State Wine Ambassador, Early Mountain Vineyards; GM & Sommelier, Bywater American Bistro; Hospitality Educator, NOCHI; and Owner, VinoSolutions, LLC, which offers restaurant consulting, educational seminars, private wine cellar inventory management, and private wine pairing dinners. Michelle believes in the mantra “Drink What You Like!” but also enjoys exposing wines that are outside of the ordinary or beyond her comfort zone
